This Azilal rug was handwoven in the Azilal region of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

We work directly with local cooperatives that preserve traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations.

Azilal rugs are known for their playful patterns and softer, lighter structure. They are typically fluffy but less dense than other Moroccan rugs, as they are woven using an alternating structure of one weft line and one knotted line.

All our rugs are professionally washed and treated before arriving in Belgium.

Azilal rugs are woven on a background of natural wool, giving them their characteristic ivory or off-white base.

The colorful symbols and motifs are woven using wool dyed with synthetic pigments, which create the bright and vibrant tones typical of Azilal rugs.

Each rug is handmade and therefore completely unique.

Vacuum regularly using a gentle setting and without a rotating brush.

For small stains, gently blot with a clean cloth and mild soap.
